Step up safety with podium steps
MTH have recognised that builder's steps are now being outlawed by safety officers in favour of the Podium Step.
With the ever increasing emphasis on safety at work and risk assessments and the Work at Height Regulations 2005; the Podium Step provides a safe working platform with a 360 degree access to work without the need to move. These podium steps have a fully surrounding guardrail and access to the deck area is through a hinged locking gate.
Podium Steps have swivel locking castors and platforms which act as steps to get to the main platform deck. Hooks on the small platforms retain the steps and give the podium step additional bracing providing a rigid safe working platform.
Podium Steps portable scaffold towers were invented and first manufactured to provide the first real safe work platform alternative to builders steps. Builders steps have now become virtually redundant with the advent of the Working At height Regulations (WAHR) and pressure from increased employer liability insurance costs.
