New to MTH Tool Hire, this is a purpose built access tower for stairs and stairways which is the ideal product for painters, decorators, maintenance or installers etc. who regularly need to work in stairways and want the confidence to know that they can get on with the job efficiently and safely.
There is no more squeezing past stairway gaps or making temporary walk ways with batons and ladders, or trying to climb frame supports that were not designed for platform access.
The tower is a movable ladder frame that allows the user to enter the tower directly from the stairwell. Once inside the tower the user can safely climb to the working platform (as recommended by the HSE). The tower allows the user to adjust the height of the working platform at 250mm intervals, so that work can be carried out without unsafe reaching or bending.
The tower will fit in most cars and small vans so getting the system to the site is straightforward.
The tower is constructed to commercial quality to ensure a safe, rigid working platform. No-slip footplates secure the base of the tower, giving it an overall width of only 700mm, and with a platform length of 1500mm allows the tower to be used on even the narrowest of domestic stairwells. The rigid, lightweight structure incorporates toe boards and a sturdy handrail around the platform, which can be built to a maximum height of 6.8m.
